About Me 

Lindsay studied vocal performance at Canterbury High School of the Creative and Performing Arts in Ottawa, Ontario. She moved to the beautiful Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia in 2013 and began her studies of Music Therapy at Acadia University and graduated in 2017.  She is passionate about using music to connect with people across the lifespan and working towards meaningful goals. She also has completed her Grade 8 RCM in Voice and her Grade 6 RCM in Piano. She opened Between the Mountains Music Therapy in April 2018 and now has clients throughout the Annapolis Valley, South Shore and HRM.

Philosophy/Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide quality, client-centered Music Therapy to people of all ages and abilities to help achieve non-musical goals in a space that is safe, creative, and open to self-expression. Goals are tailored to each client’s individual needs, while respecting their privacy and confidentiality. We will provide quality service that is supported by research, education, and continued professional development.

Meet Mia!

Certified Music Therapist & Neurologic Music Therapist 

Mia is a subcontractor with Between The Mountains Music Therapy Inc.!

Mia was born and raised on Prince Edward Island and attended school at Acadia University. She has been living and working as a music therapist in Toronto since 2017. In her work as a music therapist, she is inspired by the meaningful relationships she gets to make and the powerful changes in health and wellbeing that happen through music. When she’s not playing music she enjoys cooking, making art, and spending time with her friends.

Sarah is a subcontractor with Between The Mountains Music Therapy Inc.!

Sarah is from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and completed their Bachelor Music Therapy at Acadia University. They went on to work primarily in long-term care for the past several years. Sarah is passionate about building meaningful relationships through music and supporting her clients in their Music Therapy journeys. In their spare time, you will often find Sarah curled up with their knitting or working in their garden.
